Bluebird Spring Scholarships for 2018
New Scholarships and Foundation Grants
The Bluebird
Foundation announces that the spring scholarship
application process will begin Feb 19, 2018 with
applications available
here and
recommendation letters are due April 6, 2018.
The $500 grants are: the C.M. “Bud” Schultz Music
Award (2), the Big Daddy’s-Jim Stellmaker Brass
Award (2), the Rose Mary Harmeier Hoene Dance
Awards (2), John D. Munsell Theater Award, the
Bluebird Vocal Award, the Ray Wolffe Award and new
this year, the Michael Baker Percussion Award, the
Bob Schroeder Entrepreneur Award and the JCC
Services Twin Ports Award.
Spring grants will be awarded on Sunday, April 29th
at the Black Woods Conference Center in Proctor at
2PM.

This Fall:
Audrey Lundeen Scholarship ($2000)
The Bluebird Foundation is a 501 C
(3) whose mission statement is “To
be an advocate for area youth in the performing arts
and to create awareness of the power of the arts to
enhance self esteem, to increase understanding of
others, and to improve academic performance.”
To date the foundation has awarded
$20,000 to area high school aged kids in the
performing arts.

Application
forms are available online here. Completed
forms may be submitted online to the same address or
mailed to: Bluebird Foundation c/o Tracy Lundeen
2828 Piedmont Avenue Duluth, MN 55811 by the
date on the form.
Along with the completed application form,
applicants must also include a letter of
recommendation from a teacher or coach familiar with
the student’s artistic achievements and interests.
Recommendations may also be submitted online or
mailed to the address noted.

The Bluebird Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) with the Internal Revenue
Service.
Bluebird Foundation Donation Opportunity
The Bluebird Foundation is now offering a program
for organizations or individuals for donations of up
to $500 for materials, training, or special
projects. The donation must benefit high school aged
individuals involved in the arts.
Those wishing to apply need to
fill out
this application and return it through the
Bluebird website at bluebirdfoundation.org or by
